Shimmer Polish Karina

I've been swatching and reviewing Cindy's Shimmer Polish for about two weeks now and I must say, while I still have a few more to show you, I think I have found my polish soul mate of the bunch.

Meet Karina, a raspberry red jelly flecked with ruby red, black, and silver glitter.  This baby is perfection.

Layered over Avon Real Red, Karina absolutely blew my mind.  While not as heavily metallic as the other Shimmer glitters, this polish was even more subdued with a topcoat, an effect that made the glitter look like it was swimming in its base.  If you prefer a heavier glittered look, you can simply skip the top coat.  Regardless, Karina has stolen my heart.

The blackened berry tone is gorgeous beyond belief and flatters my skin tone so well!  I'm intrigued to try Karina over even deeper shades of red to see how the glitter plays up its base.  Given my penchant for red polish of all shades, this will be a busy season for Karina!

If you are interested in purchasing this or any other Shimmer Polish, please visit Cindy's Etsy shop by clicking here.  Each bottle retails for $12 USD.

  1. Very pretty! Reminds me a bit of Nerd Lacquer Nebula, but obviously much easier to find =)

  2. I see what you're saying about the similarity, although this may be a tad bit brighter. And it's really sad what happened with Nerd Lacquer :/

  9. So true!  Red jellies really do hold glitter well and are perfect for that smushed strawberries look :)

  12. I like raspberry polishes because they are the perfect in between pink & red.

  13. I like them as long as the shade doesn't have a brown tone. Brown leaning pinks and reds are my enemy.
