Twinsie Tuesday: Non-Ring Finger Accent Nail

Twinsie Tuesday again!

For today's challenge, we are all posting non-ring finger accent nail manicures.  Now say that three times fast.

I'm a creature of symmetry and to be honest, it took me awhile to wrap my head around the whole accent nail trend to begin with.  So when it came to changing that up from the ring finger, I thought that moving it to the middle finger when I only swatch four fingers was basically the same look in photos.  And so, my non-ring finger accent nail manicure (yeah, even writing that twice is not so easy either), looks almost identical to a normal ring finger accent nail.  But let's just applaud my bravery here.

For my main color, I used two coats of one of my favorite Barbie doll pink polishes, China Glaze Dance Baby from this spring's ElectroPop collection.  For my little bit of glitz accent, I dabbed two coats of Claire's Candy Shop pink rainbow glitter given to me by Jenna from I'm Still Thinking... for my birthday (thanks, girly!).  Yes, ladies, you read that right: glitter.

Take a look.

Pardon my weak attempt at Instagram-esque photography.  I was trying different lighting and settings to jazz up my photos and ended up with this semi-hazy photo.  I actually kinda liked how it turned out so I kept it as today's post pic.  Don't worry if you don't appreciate my nouveau-Avedon inclinations, they won't be resurfacing any time soon.

Make sure to check out my other Twinsies' non-ring fi-....oh forget it, you know what they're doing, don't make me type it again.

  1. Oh, I like it.  What courage you have to move it to another finger....bold move!  LOL.

  2. Glad you like Candy Shop :O) I considered using the middle finger for mine, but I felt like I would constantly be giving the bird. I don't know why, but this week's theme was hard for me to wrap my head around, lol.

This glitter trend is awesome, girl. Keep it up!

So many of my TT ladies are doing the middle finger! Don't you wanna run around and, um, "show it off" all day? Is it just me?

  9. That's what Jenna said also.  I think I totally didn't realize where I was going by putting glitter on my middle finger.  It's like flipping the bird and jazz hands all at the same time.

  10. This is actually Claire's.  Does Icing have a similar polish too?  I'd love to know so I could add it to my Dupe Alerts page.
