Twinsie Tuesday: Best Deal Polish

Twinsie Tuesdays, everyone!

Today, I'd like to announce a newcomer to our midst: Maribeth from Obsessive Cosmetic Hoarders Unite.  If you don't know her already, you soon will!  She's an East Coast girl like myself who swatches fabulous colors and writes adorable posts!  I think I speak for all my Twinsies when I say we're super excited to welcome Maribeth!  (Wow, that was a lot of exclamation marks.)

Anyways, to the post.  For today's challenge, we must post our best deal polish that was not swapped, gifted, or won.  Although I will admit that mine was the price it was through a weird loophole, I doubt any of the girls can beat my price: negative 14 cents!

Yes, your read that correctly.  I was paid 14 cents by Walgreens for Sinful Colors Bikini.  The story is a bit complicated but it involves toothpaste that was mislabeled with the previous week's sale, register rewards that didn't go through, and two bottles of Sinful Colors polish.  In the end of my ordeal with the couldn't-care-less-cashier, I had a receipt for negative 14 cents that was put on my credit card.

Beat that, ladies.

The polish itself is lovely and well worth the negative 14 cents.  A bit thin, Bikini is one of the newer shades that Sinful just released, although I haven't the foggiest from which collection that's deluged upon us as of late.  A blue-toned hot pink/fuchsia, this flashes a slight electric blue shimmer in flash or sunlight which you can sort of see in my pictures (it's not that much more apparent in real life).  I think had the polish been more of a creme than a crelly, the electric blue shimmer would have been more pronounced.

This is 3 coats of a typical Sinful Colors formula.

I like this color, I do, but in Bikini I just see Zoya Lola's little sister trying to act like a grown up.  If you know what Lola looks like, you'll understand what I mean.  But for negative 14 cents, I can't complain...that much.

  20. This isn't quite neon and doesn't dry matte so I'm not sure how identical it is, but I totally see how it's in the same color family.
