Jessica Lime Cooler and Spoiled Show Me the Money

Good evening, ladies.  Hope you all enjoyed your Fourth of July holidays!  Only one more day until a real weekend off.

Sorry this is posting so late but it's been so freakishly hot in New York (and frankly, everywhere), I've dreaded going near anything that radiates even a little bit of heat, which includes my laptop.  This heat wave has literally turned me from a solid into a liquid.  I would also be disgusted at the reference if I wasn't in the process of melting.

So on that lovely note, I bring to you a happy little mani that I'm actually surprised I liked!  Using the citrusy creme Lime Cooler from the Jessica Cosmetics Gelato Mio Summer Collection, I decided I'd whip out a random glitter that my boyfriend's mother picked up for me in May.

Spoiled Show Me the Money is a thick clear jelly infused with a variety of green glitter flecks that range for golden olive to hunter green.  As we all know, glitter isn't really my thing, but for some reason a light bulb went off in my head when I had Lime Cooler on and thought that this was the perfect opportunity to try out Show Me the Money.

Even though there's no brown or black glitter in the mix, this mani makes me think of mint chocolate chip ice cream (although, again, it could also be the heat).  One coat was enough to make the glittery dusting spice up Lime Cooler in a way I never expected.

I'll even admit that I would totally wear this mani out, which I can't say about most of my glittery layering experimental manis.  I'd definitely label this a success.

What do you ladies think?  A bit too leprechaun-esque?  Or does this green glitz do it for you too?

  4. Aw, thanks Tara. I like the matchy match glitters with the cremes; I think that's the best way to ease myself into any sort of serious relationship with full-on glitter.

  9. Both of these polishes are really pretty together! I love the glitter. It reminds me a lot of Sinful Colors Call You Later, which I actually have.

  11. This is a bit less yellow and a lot less dense than Call You Later, but Spoiled does have a number of colors that seem to be "inspired" by Sinfuls.

  17. This is a great combo! I'm shocked to hear that you said you would wear this mani out. I have a green sinful that seems similar to your spoiled glitter.

  18. I know, big news when I swatch glitter, let alone wear it out! And I'm not surprised about a Sinful dupe, a lot of the core shades are similar.
