Day 1 of the Wedding Themed Manis!
First up is the lovely Marisa from Polish Obsession. I was lucky enough to meet Marisa at a product launch event a few months back and let me tell you, she's just as sweet in real life! I've come to call her my Wish List Wizard since she's seriously killed about 1/3 of my lemmings. As I type this, I'm actually wearing a polish she sent me :)
Anyways, without further ado, here's the gorgeous post Marisa has for you today.

Hi everyone!! I'm so happy to be able to do a guest post on Amandalandish, one of my favorite blogs!! Amanda I hope you're having an awesome time on vacation!
So the twinsies agreed on doing wedding themed manis since Amanda went away for a wedding. I must admit this was a tough one for me, probably because I overthink things too much. I wondered what I could do that didn't require nail art, because I'm just not that good at it. Then it came to me! When I think of weddings, I think of a time of celebration and fun. So I decided to do something that reminds me of the reception. Colorful and sparkly ;0).

| I used Fair & White Splendid, OPI Rainbow Connection, and A-England Morgan Le Fay |
For this mani, I used many layers. I used three coats of Slendid, which is a lovely barbie pink shimmer. I then added a coat of Morgan Le Fay, a sheer silver shimmer. Next, I added a coat of Rainbow Connection, a clear base with multicolored hexagon glitter. I then layered another coat of Morgan Le Fay, another coat of Rainbow Connection, and a final layer of Morgan LeFay. Yep, you read that right, that's 8 coats of polish, ha!
Here's the result:

I really liked how this mani turned out! While it's not exactly what I pictured in my head, it was so fun and sparkly with the multicolored glitter and shimmer. It definitely reminds me of the fun colors I see at wedding receptions. The shimmer makes me think of all the sparkle of the bride in her gown and jewelry. Aaahhh, can you tell I love weddings?
I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Thanks so much for reading! Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
Thanks for having me Amanda!

Thank you so much, Marisa, for creating this! What a way to start!
Please keep in mind that this is a scheduled post. As I am currently out of the country, please refer all comments to the guest blogger. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteHow is the Fair & White nail polish? I was thinking about buying it.
ReplyDeleteThe Fair & White is really good. It had a great formula, opaque in two coats and applied easily.
