Wedding Mani Guest Post: Cordia from Srsly Swatched

For today's post, I reintroduce you to Cordia from Srsly Swatched, one of the newest Twinsies.  She's new to the blogging world but I have no doubt will fast become a fixture in it.  Her haul posts always make me salivate.  Check out her glitzy mani below!

Hello, lovely readers!  I am thrilled and honored to be guesting posting today for Amanda! Today, I'm showcasing Milani Gray Tux.  This was a limited release in some Walgreens in the month of April.  It was part of the Pure Love Collection which featured three polishes and an eyeshadow.  I went to eight different Walgreens to find this polish but it was totally worth it.

I knew from promos that I needed to get my hands on this bad boy.  It's such a unique polish! It's really a gray base, but it builds to black in a few coats. The base itself is pretty sheer, so I used three coats to get a nice complete opacity. And the glitter is INSANE! Milani really knows how to make a packed glitter polish.

The formula wasn't amazing, but it was pretty good for the amount of glitter you have to handle. I did some minor cleanup on each nail, but the base is so sheer, it wiped off easily. Then I just used an orange stick to scrape off any misplaced glitter on my cuticles.

This polish is galaxy nails in a bottle. It is sooo jam packed and blingy. Look at that! Freakin' lens flare! I love this polish.

The only thing I don't understand is how this polish got included in a wedding collection. It's an awesome polish, but it's in no way feminine or light or delicate. In fact, it's pretty darn edgy. But I'm not going to question it further because I'm just so happy to have it.

Name: Gray Tux
Brand: Milani
Collection: Pure Love LE
Product Number: 857
Original Release: Spring 2012
Finish: Glitter
Opacity: 3 coats

Thanks for reading!!

Pretty, right?  I always enjoy an interesting black polish and this just fits the bill.  Gorgeous!  And it better be, since you had to go to 8 Walgreens to find it!

Thanks, Cordia, for such a great post!

Please keep in mind that this is a scheduled post.  As I am currently out of the country, please refer all comments to the guest blogger.  Thank you!

  7. Never seen such a dark, glittery polish in a wedding collection before, but you're so right--Milani does some amazing glitters! I bet this would be a great polish for layering combos, but all by itself it's just crazy dense...so much sparkle!! :D
