Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint

I'm quickly developing a love affair with the new Wet n Wild Megalasts.  I first received a few from Nory and I can't go into a drugstore without at least stopping at the Megalast display.

My latest purchase is I Need a Refresh-Mint, a color I can only describe as an aqua pastel, that leans slightly more blue than green.  The application was fantastic and with two buttery coats with the pro-wide brush, I was a happy camper.

Please disregard the minor sheet lines.  I did this mani at like 3 in the morning and promptly fell asleep.

While this shade is not unique (in fact, it seems like every collection has some sort of dupe this year), there's something so creamy about this mint shade that I find myself gravitating towards.  Also, because it's slightly more blue than green, I do not suffer from the dreaded lobster hands.  Major woo hoo moment.

At least in the areas I frequent, this color seems popular; when I bought this, the check out girl said she had picked this up herself and that it was "perfect for spring."  Since then, I've noticed at least four other people on four different occasions picking this up.  Popular color in the New York area, I guess.

What do you think of this mint?  Basic dupe or something you'd pick up?

  4. This isn't a true blue, so I don't want you to get your hopes up. But this is a pretty fantastic color either way. If you're looking for a good blue pastel, I'd recommend China Glaze Kinetic Candy, which I reviewed here:

  5. Thanks! And yeah, I literally willed myself awake to polish and then collapsed. Not the best time to do my nails, I guess :/

  10. I do love this! With that said, I also have a couple like it, so I may not pick this one up. Definitely would have if I saw it first, though!

  11. I really like colors like this but I feel like I already 2 polishes that are very similar so I shouldn't buy it. Although I have done that recently. I don't need to (right now).

  12. It looks pretty basic, but a great color! I have a couple that look like this, but not exactly the same. Really great for spring :D

  15. I cannot get enough of mint nails at the moment. The colour itself is big in shops here in the UK but not so much on the nail front though.

  16. Besides the color, the formula is just so good. I feel like even though this whole line is really dupable, I need them all just because I enjoy applying them.

  18. Start a new trend! My cousin in London was wearing green for awhile and she's pretty on trend, so maybe it just needs time to get to you (if you're not in London also)...?

  19. I don't personally own For Audrey, but Anna from Going to the Showing literally did a comparison of this and For Audrey yesterday, so you should check that out: http://goingtotheshowing.blogspot.com/2012/05/china-glaze-for-audrey-comparisondupe.html

  20. It's funny, I was going to get this bc I love pastel greens, but I was afraid it would be a dupe for Essie's Mint Candy Apple, which is one of my faves. So I didn't get it.. But I love it on you, it looks great! Makes me want to spring for it! :)

  21. Yeah I'm in London :) maybe I just haven't been looking at people's nails as much! hehe.

  22. It's not an exact dupe for Mint Candy Apple, since that's much more green. This has a lot more blue to it. Normally I'd say having one mint is fine, but for $2 and for such a gorgeous color, I can't help but want to convince you to get it!
