NOPI Nothing Kim-pares to Blue

I preface this by asking you not to judge me.

That being said, I have to admit publicly that I craved this Kardashian polish.  I am in no way a Kardashian fan, but I would be lying if I said that I was not impressed and flat-out love their polish line.  Like I said, don't judge.

The minute I saw Nothing Kim-pares to Blue I knew it had to mine.  However, it first came out in Ulta, and as anyone in the New York area knows, those aren't easy to come by.  I must have went into about 50 CVS's before I finally found one NKTB in a bare display.  Despite the fact that I didn't have a CVS coupon on me (which I always do), I bought it for full price.  The cashier girl complimented me on it but said that she thought the polish was too expensive.  I agreed but seriously, after looking high and low like a mad woman, I would've endured the entire first season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians if need be for this polish.  Yes, I wanted it that bad.

What I'm most in love with is both the color and the finish.  A creamy sky blue, there's a really ethereal feeling to this polish because of how jammed it is with white flakies and shimmer.  While it need four coats for adequate opacity, I think it was worth the work.  Plus, application was phenomenal.  I'm becoming more and more impressed with NOPI polishes and their wide paddle brushes.

Take a look.

I'm actually swooning just reliving the moment I wore this polish.  It's just so magical and light.  These sky blues are just so flattering on anyone and perfect for spring so I'm glad I was able to get this before the weather got too warm and I'd be itching to wear brighter pinks and oranges.

What do you ladies think of this polish and the Kardashian Kolors in general?  Does the fact that everything begins with a 'K' bother you too?

Actually, this is really pretty. I own one of the Kardashian colours and I am so ashamed.

"...after looking high and low like a mad woman, I would've endured the entire first season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians if need be for this polish" - wow. You REALLY wanted it. I don't even think I could do that, dear.

  2. Yeah, desperation does some nasty things to people. I.e., this polish and me, fame and the Kardashians...

  7. 1. I love this, especially on you
    2. I hate how much I like this polish line!! I feel like a bad human for supporting anything with that many K's.

  9. I dislike the Kardashians and I promised myself that I wouldn't buy their polishes...but man they have some pretty ones! I feel like the Kardashians give armenians a bad name (I'm half armenian even though I look like my irish half).

  10. This is a beauty. I don't find the K collections anywhere around me - it's 30 miles to the nearest CVS - further to the nearest Target/Walmart. Sooooo - don't run into these all that often. However my little town in the middle of no where does have a Rite Aide - guess they wanted all the folks who live around here's pharmacy business. They took away the Borghesse polishes they got a few of and now they put in a few of the Nicole by OPI shades - all seemed to be from the darker group of shades (like 4 left) and the textures. have not seen this one or anything that is terribly new.

  11. I don't WANT to like any of the Nicole polishes - they are in that horrible bottle that messes up my storage and I hate to hold it when doing my polish changes - also hate that the $ is more than regular OPI.

  13. 1. Thank you!
    2. I'm with you. Plus the K thing always reminds me of um, other things that start with K that are also very bad.

  14. It is exactly! Except it doesn't have the pink shimmer flakies which would look awesome in this as well.

  15. Ugh, I completely get it. Tough situation when you dislike the brand but love the product.

  16. I agree with you about the price and bottle size, both of which are annoying. But sadly, I do really like the formula (often better than OPI itself).

  17. I think we all suffer from the same confusion. They must have someone really good helping them with this polish line because it's just too awesome.

  20. This is very pretty! I know that their names with K's annoy me but when a polish is gorgeous it's gorgeous, even if it's a Kardashian, lol. Don't feel bad about loving this! :-)

  21. This reminds me of I Dont Give A Rotterdam or I Have A Herring Problem. Regardless, its beautiful!

  22. That's a good attitude...I just have an issue with the K-people.

  23. It's similar, but a bit more white based and less shimmery. Good catch!

  24. This one does have a lovely shimmer! I really dislike how much I like some of these Kardashian polishes. If I don't judge you for loving this one, you have to promise not to judge me for totally crushing on Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam (worse name ever? quite possibly, yes).

  25. Hahaha! I also love the Lam-Lam color, but yeah, the name...ugh...
