Bettina Radiance

I've recently really gotten more into red jellies.  In the past, they used to really annoy me because of the VNL and how watery they typically applied.  But either I've mellowed in my old age or formulas are improving because I'm really digging the way they look.

As red polish is a favorite of mine, I was tickled pink (go figure) when Nory sent Radiance my way.  This blue-toned, medium true red jelly is packed with a silvery-red glitter that dries like a jelly sandwich (I'm sure there's a fancy schmancy polish term for this that I'm not aware of).  I actually adore the way this finishes as I don't like rough or shiny glitter and this combines the interest glitter generates with the smoother gloss of a jelly.  Plus I can't get over how flattering this red was with my paler than pale skin tone.

This is three typically perfect Bettina coats.

As I wore this, I kept thinking this looked like strawberry jam on my hands, although the main comment I got was that it looked like ruby slippers.  Since I have Milani Ruby Jewels and know what a real dupe of ruby slippers is, I'm sticking with my preserves reference.

Sorry so short but it's nearly midnight and I'm still debating if I have the energy to redo my mani.  I'm still rocking a sheet-marked mani from yesterday's late night polish decision.

Shout out to Nory for this awesome polish!  Thank you, polish bestie!

  1. Lovely! The glitter really lights up in that base. "Radiance" is a perfect name. Loved the jam comparison as well. :)

  15. I won't be wearing that many more glitters in the near future, but I appreciate your enthusiasm. Although, I just ordered some Color Clubs that can be considered glitter, so who am I fooling?

  16. The sparseness is really nice in this and doesn't make it so heavy to look at.
