Zoya Willow

Having seen the new Zoya Beach and Surf Collection for this summer, I was inspired to start whipping out my Zoyas for spring.  And what's a better spring color than peach?

Zoya Willow was actually a new shade to me when I received it as a gift from my grandmother's hairdresser.  Yes, you read that right, I received this from the lovely lady who does my grandmother's hair.  My grandmother told her about my blog and she decided to give my grandmother two bottles of Zoya that she sells in her salon.  1. Seriously, how sweet?! and 2. They sell Zoya in Staten Island?  Major wootfest.

Anyways, Willow is a really fabulous color.  While this picture is a bit hazy, it was unfortunately the only shot I could get that was the most color accurate.  In real life, this is a little less coral and more peach, but you can make out the creamy, dusty pastel nature of this hue.

Like a typical Zoya, the formula was good, although a tad bit thin for me.  While this is a pastel, this was not streaky in the slightest (win!) but did need 3 coats for adequate opacity and color saturation.

While I do appreciate that Zoya is big on major overhaul collections that hit every nail trend and color, I hope that for the next spring collection they might think to go back to the simple basics: sweet, girly cremes.  This color reminds me of something a housewife would wear in the 1950s out to lunch and it's that retro ladylike aspect that really speaks to me about this polish.

What do you ladies think about peach polishes like this?

  3. This color really suits you.  Funny enough, I don't own any peaches.  I'm just not drawn to them for some reason.

  11. I'm sure you can find the right peach to compliment your skin tone.  Sometimes you may just have to go more pink or more coral, but I have no doubt you can find one that suits you perfectly!
