Twinsie Tuesday: Anise Crocodile Tears

Twinsie Tuesday, ladies!

Today's challenge, a green polish, was inspired by -- you guessed it -- St. Patrick's Day this week.  While I'm not Irish, I'm down for the festivities and since my new found love of green polish, I was pleased to whip out the green for this challenge.

After going through a slew of Anise polishes, I finally found one that works for me.  Crocodile Tears is the fabulous name for this fabulous polish that applies like a dream in two coats.  The color is pretty crocodile-esque, with a hunter green based that shines an olive-y gold shimmer.  It's hard to describe so please take a look.

There's something slightly metallic about this green but it's really more of a very concentrated olive shimmer.  I don't have enough words to describe how really beautiful this color is.

Check out the other greens my Twinsies chose below:

  4. Ooo, I love it! I don't have any Anise polishes (I think they're regional? I've never seen them in person over in the midwest, at least.) but this one is so pretty!

  5. I don't know about regional. I've only seen them in one store in NJ, but I've read on one other blog that they sell at DSW.

  16. I've seen China Glaze and Orly come up with similar greens, but this is really quite different from those.

  17. I love shimmery metallics; keeps from looking too streaky.
