Sometimes you just come across a polish that reminds you of something. It might take you a second or two to figure out why it's jogging your memory but when it does, it adds a little bit more depth to the polish.
Sorry to get so meta about nail polish, but when I received SnailZ Upsweep, a franken from my dear friend and fellow blogger, Ashley at Art Evolve, I couldn't quite put my finger on why this color struck me. Once I put it on, it hit me: this polish looks like a reflecting pool!
First off, this blue is fantastic. It's not quite a jelly but it's not quite a creme and finishes like glass. The little flakes of glitter appear like little fish underwater, and I felt like I had little koi ponds on my fingertips!
In two coats, the polish is pretty opaque. While I did notice a little bit of balding, I don't think three coats would have really done much and quite frankly, would've taken away some of the lightness this polish radiates.
Take a look.
I really can't get over how cool this polish is and I can't say that I own anything quite like it. Ashley and her sister (who franken together) are absolute artists and I can't wait until they start selling their creations, so girls take note!
A huge thanks to Ashley for sharing her creation with me! I'm absolutely floored by this :)

This is really pretty!!

ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty. Closest to the shade (not finish) I can think of that I have is China Glaze Blue Sparrow Neon.

ReplyDeleteIt's very similar from swatches. I've never seen Blue Sparrow in person, so I can't be sure. Good eye though!
