Savina Frostbite

Lately, my pink and green obsession has given way to shimmery blues.  I seriously can't get enough of these and am constantly picking them up when I'm in pharmacies and literally have to force my hand down from buying them all.

But when I saw Amy from Gotham Polish swatch Savina Frostbite I literally made it my business to head down the block to Nordstroms Rack and find this beauty.  Even in the bottle you can see just how gorgeous this polish is.

Savina is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands.  The application is always flawless: buttery and thick and perfectly opaque in two coats.  Completely and fantastically lush.  The color, oh the color!  Frostbite is beyond words.  A cornflower blue infused with silvery, shimmery glass flecks, this reminded me of Essie Smooth Sailing but a shade darker.  Regardless, I absolutely love this and couldn't imagine giving up both.

This is two coats.

I'm simply obsessed with this polish and am now on the hunt for all shades of blues with this shimmery finish (NOPI Nothing Kim-pares to Blue, Milani Sail Away, Revlon Blue Lagoon...).  Ugh, my poor, poor wallet.

Have you ladies ever tried Savina?  And what do you think of Frostbite??

  2. I love this shimmer! Gorgeous! Blue is my favorite! A warning about Blue Lagoon: mine had a horrible formula. Even with three coats it wasn't opaque and it was runny and yucky. I may have had a bad bottle but it was so bad I had to throw it away :(

  5. Ugh, I've been hearing that a lot about Blue Lagoon.  I think I'm going to hold off until I find the NOPI but it's impossible to find!!

  7. WOW this is really beautiful! We don't get Savina polishes over in Michigan unfortunately--at least not that I've ever seen. This color looks stunning on you though.

  8. 8ty8 Beauty sells them for $3. Their shipping costs are a bit steep though.

  13. From what I know, they sell exclusively in Nordstroms Rack.  However, 8ty8 Beauty online sells them for $3 (they go for $4 in the store).  But like I said in an earlier comment, their shipping is a bit steep.  But I can tell you that I have more Savina swatches to come and they're all fabulous!

  14. Yup!  I tried to really pinpoint which is better, but they're just so close.  I'd say they're dupes, but I'd have to do a comparison post to be sure.

  15. Wooo glad you tracked it down, it looks SO great on you! The nail polish at Rack is getting more and more thinned out though recently...  oh well I still make just about weekly trips there anyway :) Thanks for the shout out!

  16. No, thank you for reminding me about the Savinas there!  I saw them once and clearly didn't bank that information.  Now that I know, it's so dangerous since my boyfriend lives literally down the block.  Not to mention the two Duane Reades and Walgreens right there.  Polish mecca.
