Rimmel Sunset Orange

I was waiting for slightly warmer weather to start whipping out the brighter colors, but since I'm itching for spring, I felt the need to showcase some of these beauties.

Rimmel Sunset Orange is an absolutely juicy polish and was a perfect choice for me when I was in the Dominican Republic.  In two coats, this jelly orange had perfect coverage without any visible nail line.  The color is fantastic as well: while it photographs slightly neon and slightly coral, this isn't either.  Instead, I'd call this a light tangerine jelly that's super squishy.

What I love about Rimmel polishes is also their brushes and formula.  While they don't exactly have the widest selection of color choices, each is absolutely perfection and applies smoothly with a pro-wide brush.

It's a shame that this appears to be more coral because in real life, the orange is really pretty spectacular.  When I wore this in the DR a month ago, I just adored how tangerine this appeared on my hands.  I highly recommend anyone who loves orange or true jellies get their hands on Sunset Orange.

So ladies, was this bright summer color a nice reprieve from the darker colors the past few months?  And what do you think of this jelly?

  3. Haha, thanks! I picked this one up at Walgreens when they were doing random clearance sales. They still sell this though so I don't know why they marked this as clearance (it was the only Rimmel in the display on sale). I can totally see you rocking this though!

  5. Aren't juicy jellies just the best?

  6. I remember when Rimmel first came to the US: the formula was thick and goopy and it chipped like nobody's business.  They've really stepped up their game!  Now if they started to introduce more colors, they be a real staple drugstore brand.
