Revlon Plum Seduction

Purply pinks are on my ultimate favorites list.  Whether it's a pastel that you can't quite pin down if it's more of a lavender or piggy pink or a fuchsia that transitions from purple to pink depending on the lighting, I absolutely go ga-ga for them.

Revlon Plum Seduction is another one of those purply pink shades that just called my name from the shelf.  When I was in the Dominican Republic, I wore this as my last manicure and I really fell in love with this color.  A juicy, glossy crelly, Plum Seduction is one of the yummiest fuchsias I own.  In three coats, this color pops without screaming neon which I actually prefer, since I'm still ambivalent about the highlighter look with my translucent skin tone.

The application was standard Revlon: slightly runny.  However, if you're familiar with the Revlon formula, you can control cuticle pooling by applying 3 thinner coats rather than 2 thicker ones.  While Revlon hasn't completely perfected their formula to my taste, they consistently produce colors that really speak to anyone's taste, which speaks volumes about their creative department in my opinion.

What do you think about Revlon polishes?  Under appreciated wonder brand or wasted drugstore shelf space?

  6. Plum Seduction is one of my favorites.  It's so pretty and squishy.  It looks amazing on you!!  I think Revlon is definitely an under appreciated wonder brand!  They have so many awesome colors that I absolutely love!

  7. I am with you. These shades really get my heart. Looks a tish like OPI's I Ate Berries in the Canaries and maybe a cross with a really close one in OPI - Dum Sum Plum that has not as much fuchsia. I prefer the Canaries better of the 2. Some call me a fuchsia/magenta holic! Adore them.

  12. What's great about them is, apart from color, they can so easily transition from summer to fall to winter. If you're going to be addicted to something, fuchsia is not a bad way to go!

  13. Oh wow, I love this! I must pick it up.

You know which Revlon I have found to be consistently thick (ok, I have only had 2 bottles, but both recently) is Revlon Red. Which was my ultimate red, until recently :)

  14. Hmm...I've never found a Revlon to be anything close to thick so you might have had a defective bottle.
