China Glaze Dance Baby

More pinks, people!

Today, I'm showcasing one of the beauties from China Glaze ElectroPop spring collection. I've been really enjoying the swatches I've seen of the ElectroPop collection thus far; there's nothing particular original in the set, but I always enjoy a group of bright, happy, candy-colored cremes which will easily move from spring through summer.

Dance Baby, from the Lights collection, is the perfect definition of a Barbie Doll pink.  It's not super in your face valley-girl, but a sweet pink pastel that does not apply chalky whatsoever, despite having a white base.  Had I applied this slightly better, I'm sure I could've gotten away with one coat.  Who am I kidding?  Even if it covered perfectly, I'd never be okay with just one coat!  So yeah, this is two.

How yummy is this?  Reminds me of bubblegum, cupcakes, and all things girlie...I love it!  I imagine that it's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I think this is a fabulous spring staple.

Too girly, ladies?  Or just right?

  2. Adorable. My Sally's was already out of this color so I think it's pretty popular, and for good reason! Great swatch.

  6. Thanks!  It's a pretty great staple Barbie pink but I'm sure it's somewhat dupable if your Sally's doesn't get it back in stock.  I know that Pure Ice Love is somewhat similar, although slightly more muted.  Check out my review here: http://amandalandish.blogspot.com/2012/01/pure-ice-love.html

  9. Did you ever end up getting Sweet Hook?  I'm so curious to see what you think of that and Gothic Lolita.  Those are the other two colors that are slowly becoming lemmings from this collection.
