Pure Ice Love

You thought you were done with the pinks, didn't you?  Well, I hate to break it to all my non-girly girls, but I'm still rocking that phase and I ask you to try and embrace the estrogen and lace bows for a few.

I was inspired by the Barbie doll pink shade that has become more palatable since the Nicki Minaj collection to venture out in my search.  With an eye towards the really girly, I figured I'd experiment with a Pure Ice, a cheaper brand I've come to really enjoy lately.

In three coats, I was really happy with the Love pink look.  While certainly a white-based pink with blue undertones, this pastel creme is not streaky after three coats and is already opaque in two.

Love isn't anything super special (that sounds weird to read, right?), but a nice addition to my ever growing pink collection.  I'll probably whip this out a bit more in the spring, but I'm not that drawn to it now as I continue in my quest for the perfect pink.

To those that own OPI Pink Friday: is this a dupe?  I'd add it to my Dupe Alerts page if it is.

To those that don't own this and/or don't do pink: was this post terribly painful?

  1. I'll be adding this to my wish list, thank you very much ;0).  I love LOVE, lol.  Such a pretty pink.  It looks close to Pink Friday, but I'm not sure that it's a dupe.  I would have to see them together.

  5. This kind of pink is one I stay away from.  I never think they look good on me.  Looks beautiful on you!

  6. Now as a girl who loves pink, I cannot complain about your pink posts. I really need to check out the Pure Ice pinks! I have Pink Friday and from the looks of it, Love might be a tad darker depending on the lighting.

  8. This such a pretty pink, and I am totally embracing the pink phase, this seems to have a bit of a frost that Pink Friday doesn't have but it is similar in the overall base of pink that is Pink Friday. Keep the pinks coming :)

  12. Yeah, apparently it's not exactly a dupe from the comments I've been getting.  But it's a great pink creme for a pink lover.  I recommend you picking it up :)

  13. I wouldn't say this is bright at all, more of a darker pink pastel if that makes sense.
