Color Club Nomadic in Nude

Nomadic in Nude was a first for me in a number of ways.

One, it was one of the first giveaways I ever won.  I was beyond excited when I received an email from Traci from The Trace Face Philes that I had won the entire Back to Boho collection, Fall 2011.  I don't think I've used that many exclamation points when I responded to Traci to thank her.

Two, it was the first nude polish that I actually liked on me and enjoyed wearing.  I couldn't really get behind the mannequin hands look that was popular last spring so I was ambivalent about this polish.  As I'm sure you all have picked up, I'm super fair (I question if I have a working circulatory system sometimes) so nudes just make me look like I'm suffering from rigor mortis.

In two coats, I absolutely fell in love with this nude.  I tend to do best with neutrals that have greyer undertones, which this definitely does.  A creme that dries jelly-ish, I was also pretty happy about how opaque and saturated Nomadic ended up being.

While I think I look a bit red in the second picture, in real life, Nomadic in Nude was actually quite flattering, appearing almost like cashmere on my hands.  I was really impressed by this polish!

Thank you to Traci for this awesome win!

What neutrals work for your skin tones, girls?

  4. I was so surprised that I thought so too!

  5. I agree.  Definitely not total mannequin hands, which works for me :)
