China Glaze Glittering Garland

With my new found love of greens, the lovely Nory sent me the gorgeous, magnificent, and fantabulous Glittering Garland, the standout star of China Glaze's Let it Snow Holiday Collection 2011.

I know that every blogger and her sister has posted and described this, so I imagine there are no words left to adequately express how truly breathtaking this green polish is, so I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

The most surprising thing about this polish was that it has an olive undertone to it.  If you're looking for a hunter green with microglitter, your best bet is China Glaze Emerald Sparkle, the Glittering Garland of the China Glaze Holiday Collection 2010.  GG fit seamlessly into last (!!!) year's holiday collection as the "fugly" green trend (basically green with any gold, yellow, or olive undertone) literally defined Polishdom 2011.

If you don't own this yet, I recommend skipping school/calling out sick from work/breaking down doors to get this puppy.  You won't regret it.

Question to my readers:  While I love GG to no end, I still have China Glaze Emerald Sparkle and Orly Meet Me Under the Mistletoe on my wish list.  Should I take them off my wish list now that I own Glittering Garland??  Advice, please!

  1. I don't have Emerald Sparkle but I feel as though it is different enough to keep on your wishlist. Maybe that's the hoarder in me :-p

  2. ahhhh my favorite of this collection. I need to post it soon!

Anyway, I have all 3 [I have a problem...]. MMUTM is more blue-green, if that floats your boat while GG is more straightforward green. Emerald Sparkle has emerald glitter, not the crushed flakie thing. ES is my personal favorite by far, with GG coming in second, but it really depends on your preference:]

  3. I don't own any of the polishes you just named, so I have no idea if they look like each other. But on the other side; I do have so many polishes that look a little similar, but are still different. Since they are on your wishlist I would just get them. Then you can also see if you needed them or not :P
But I have to say I think green looks nice on you! :)
