Bettina Cheers

I always say that I can't imagine myself living anywhere else in the world besides New York.  I was born here, raised here, and speak too fast for anyone else in the country to understand me, so I only communicate clearly here.

However, it's times like when I receive Bettina swaps and gifts that I think I need to learn to speak Spanish and move to Puerto Rico.

But thanks to my darling polish bestie, Nory, I have access to Bettina through her in-laws on the island.  In a surprise package, Nory sent over a whole load of Bettinas and I'm pleased to show you the first polish I swatched.

Cheers, a medium green creme from the Bliss Collection, was such a pleasure to apply.  Thick and rich, Cheers was opaque in one coat, but given my ritualistic polish routine, I had to apply two coats to feel like my nails weren't naked.  In the bottle, this color looks like a possible dupe for China Glaze Holly-Day but once on, Cheers has a deeper, murkier quality that makes this polish just a tad bit more interesting than a standard holiday green.

There's a definite oliveness floating around in this formula which I absolutely adore, making Cheers a really trendy creme to wear through the fall and winter.  And can we just stop a second to discuss the absolute and perfect creaminess of this polish?  They just don't make this kind of fabulousity in many stateside polishes unfortunately.

I'm so excited to try out the rest of my Bettinas!  Which would you like to see next?  Check out my nail mail post here to see what other colors I have stashed.

  4. You should check out my Dupe Alerts page then because I just added a number of green polish dupes :)

I'm really getting into greens myself...they're just so trendy if you pair them with the right outfit.

  5. Thanks! I'd recommend Revlon Emerald as a tide over dupe to this. It's not as saturated and more of a true green, but a nice alternative if you don't have access to Bettina.

  6. They are pretty special polishes. I'd recommend finding a Florida or Puerto Rico based swap buddy to hit your fix.

  7. Will do! Putting Boogie at the top of my Bettina to-swatch list. Do you have any recommendations for it, like pairing it over black, pink etc.? I'd love for my blog to become more interactive :)

  10. I am so glad that you like it and it looks stunning on you! I little bit more olive-y than Essie Sew Psyched?

  11. It's certainly darker than Sew Psyched and doesn't have any grey in it the way the Essie does.  But I don't actually own SP so I'm only going off pictures.
