Orly Space Cadet

Happy Hump Day, girlies!

I have an interview this morning so I'm suuuper nervous.  Wish me luck!

Anyways, I recently received this very cool Orly in a swap from the absolutely adorable (and franken queen, in my opinion) Sarah from See Sarah Swatch.  As I've said in a previous post,  Space Cadet has gone on and off my wish list for about a year now and I don't know why I ever vacillated.  This baby certainly packs a punch!

A very subtle duochrome, this gunmental base shifts from gold to purple and back in what clearly looks like space (aptly named, Orly.  Well done.)  It's very shimmery and the finish is a teensy bit gritty, so apply with caution because these types of finishes have a tendency to appear sloppy if there are any mistakes.

Can you see the gold shift to purple in that last picture?  It's really quite beautiful.  This polish would totally rock a little black dress, don't you think?

Thank you again to Sarah for sending this to me!

What do you girls think?  Spacey cool or too far out?

  4. I got the Foil FX first and I just love the fact that the bottles are HUGE, the brushes are great, and the formula is top notch.  Orly is one of those brands that never get enough PR, in my opinion.

  5. This one is just so pretty! Apparently it 's supposed to be very close to MAC's 'Mean and Green' from the Venomous Villains collection (I really should get around to posting those swatches one of these centuries!), but I absolutely love how it looks on you! Stunning swatches, Amanda!

  7. Thanks, Eugenia!  I hope you post those MAC swatches soon, I've never seen that collection.  Plus, your descriptions are always so spot on!

  8. Thanks again :)

I tend to fiddle with the layout when I can.  Being a perfectionist and being not that adept at computery things never leads to a happy Amanda.  But I'm happy you like the background!
