The Nail Polish Tag

I was tagged in Nory from Fierce Makeup and Nail's cute little polish tag and thought I'd give it a whirl :)

The Questions

1. How many polishes do you own?
I'm actually afraid to count!  I currently have two plastic drawers full and having been purging and swapping a lot lately, so the number goes up and down a bit.  If I had to guess, I'd say give or take 100.

2. What is your favorite nail polish brand?
I tend to vacillate but my tops are definitely Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure, Brucci,  and Zoya.  I go in waves over how I feel about Essie, OPI, and China Glaze, but those are definitely tops as well.

3. Do you like or hate crackle nail polish?
Nope, not a fan in the slightest.

4. What is your first nail polish brand?
Growing up, I remember OPIs around the house.  Bruccis used to be sold at the dollar store so I had a few of their old frosty, granny pinks back in the day.  But the polish that started this insanity I have now is probably China Glaze Recycle.

5. If you create a nail polish line, what would you name it?

Oddly enough, I literally thought about this for first time today!  I would want something that ties in with my polish roots (i.e., my blog), so maybe Dish?  Or does that sound too much like the Kardashian store Dash?

6. What nail polish color does not compliment you?
I cannot pull off brown-leaning berries (I'm looking at you, Essie Size Matters!).

8. Name two of your best nail art friends.
I don't do nail art, but I've been lucky to meet some really special ladies through blogging.  Nory, Sarah, Katherine, Heather, Rachel, name a few.  You're all spectacular!

9. What was the best nail polish gift you have ever received?

I feel kinda silly saying this, but I cannot even tell you how over the moon I was when I got my first swap from Nory.  That was pretty cool.  I was also beyond touched when Sarah made a franken in honor of something that I created.  My boyfriend also surprised me with Island Girl polish when he got back from Hawaii.  Those are good polish gifts :)

10. Make a speech about thanking the blogger who tagged you.
*Clears throat, approaches podium*
No seriously, I do want to thank Nory for tagging me on this.  I really enjoy reading and posting these, allowing me both to opportunity to get to know her better and for my readers to put a "face" to the blog a little bit more.  I can't wait to see everyone else's answers!

I think Dish would be a fantastic brand name...much better than Dash also. At least you will have class behind you LOL

  8. Did you realize there's no number 7?  I just caught that as I was working on my post.

  9. Ha, you're totally right. How did we all miss that? Good catch!
