Chanukah Night #3: Confetti Rhapsody in Blue

Welcome to Night 3 of my Chanukah Manis: Silvery Blues and Wintery Hues!

I had never tried the Confetti polishes that are in every CVS around my area.  A fairly and available cheap polish, I was never really intrigued.  I'm pretty sure that's because a friend of mine once told me she didn't like the brand so I subconsciously tucked that fact away and breezed past the Confetti displays on the way to my normal haunts.

And yet, I saw Rhapsody in Blue used as a base for some mani on a nail art blog (my apologies for not having the link handy at the moment) and knew I had to have it.  A metallic baby blue, this applies on the frostier side.  While I'm not a huge fan of the frosty look, after three coats you can get rid of most of the brush strokes to create a really frostbitten mani.

I really can't get over this color: isn't it just lovely for winter?  Totally screams snow princess.  And look at that shine!  For $2, this proved to be a great buy.  I honestly couldn't stop staring at my hands the whole time I wore this mani.  And let me tell you, the staying power is also pretty impressive.  Last time I'll listen to you, Carrie ;)
