Zoya Yara

This post will fit in really nicely with the results of my poll from two days ago.  The majority of you (36%) voted that greens are your favorite trend for Fall 2011.  They're mine too!

Yara is one of those polishes that I debated on and debated on and finally caved in to get.  It happens a lot with me and Zoyas.  In most cases, I don't regret it.  Yara is one of those Zoya cave-ins I don't regret.

As I've said before, I'm not super into green.  However, I've been finding myself gravitating towards it a lot lately.  I just can't get enough.  This shade, which I've seen described by Zoya and other bloggers as "drab olive" is one of the most unique colors I've ever seen.  Mossy green with gold glass flecks, this polish pops in photos.  It's been raining in NYC a lot so there hasn't been a lot of sunlight but even in the murky days, Yara looks so lovely just being a greyed out green.  It's as if once the light turns off, the glass flecks go away and this polish goes undercover as a really chic fall polish.

Application in two coats was quintessential Zoya: a bit thick, but once you get the hang of it, is just really creamy.  I can't believe how much I love this color.  I know other nail bloggers have gone on and on and on about Yara, but seriously, I get it now.

This is the third of the five polishes I own from the Smoke and Mirrors Collection.  So far, all hits.

What was your favorite color from the Smoke and Mirrors Collection this fall?
