Wet n Wild Buy Me a Drink (Challenge Day 28: A Polish that is New)

When I bought the On the Prowl Collection for my first giveaway about a month ago, the only color I also bought for myself was Buy Me a Drink.  At first I tried it as a pedi, and I really liked the color, although the brush is not the best for polishing something as small as toenails.  When I did the full mani, I was completely shocked at how much I liked this.  Three coats and I have my perfect fall color.

I typically shy away from Wet n Wild colors because I've had issues with chipping, but they must have fixed their formula since I gave up on them because this had staying power.  It also has depth, which is the one thing that makes me go goo-goo for a polish.  Seemingly burgundy red, in the sunlight, you can see the purply gold shimmer hiding in this bad boy.  This totally reminds me of blood or red wine and I think the name suits this perfectly.

I know that this was ridiculously hard to find for most people (what was up with Wet n Wild's distribution plan pre-Halloween?), so the closest dupe I can think of off the top of my head would be Brucci Black Cherry or maybe even OPI Black Cherry Chutney.  I hope that helps those ladies that weren't able to get their hands on this!

  1. Wow! Very pretty color. I was one of those people that had no luck finding any of these, I'm glad they fixed their formula because I had problems with chipping too! :)

  4. I'm glad everybody likes this color but I feel bad that Wet n Wild did such a bad job distributing the On the Prowl Collection. I've been searching for another two of these for swaps with someone from Spain and someone in Long Island, NY with no luck :(
