Revlon Mistletoe

Another impulse buy.  Oh well.

I can't say I totally regret this.  While I was hoping to find a green with this sort of shimmer in a hunter green (a la China Glaze Glittering Garland, a major recent lemming), I was drawn to the olive base in this new holiday Revlon (I'll admit, Zoya Yara converted me).  I like that it's more fall than winter, which makes me question why they called this Mistletoe.

As with most Revlon polishes, this applied well in two coats.  The first was a bit uneven, but the second smoothed it out.  Removal was a bit annoying...more of a glitter type removal than a typical shimmer.

I do wish, though, that it looked more green on than it photographs.  Without the magic of camera light, this looks more like a black/grey green than a medium olive.  Like I said, waaay more fall than a holiday green.

Has anyone else tried out the new Revlon holiday polishes?  What do you think?

  1. That'll probably look great!  I tried matte once and it chipped like crazy, so I've been avoiding it since.  But I do like how matte brings out shimmers in polishes.  And this color definitely has that inner glitz.

  2. I just bought this a week or so ago! I haven't tried it yet but I like it on you! I did swatch Glittering Garland this week and I can't wait to post it. IMO it's one of the must-haves from Let It Snow. So pretty!

  3. I did see a display at Walgreens I believe but none of the polishes stood out to me. This is very pretty on you, I hate when a polish turns out to be very different then what you hoped it would be.

  5. I really have to get that collection; apart from the glitters and that weird yellow, I think it's great. Can't wait to see your swatch!
