Nail Collections 2012: My List of the Most Promising

I've never really fallen in love with an entire collection.  Occasionally, I've been impressed with the theme and marketing of certain seasonal collections, but it's been very far and few between.  Lately, however, I've found myself inundated with awesome collections that are well rounded, on trend, and wearable.  Here are the few that I'm most excited about:

OPI Holland Collection (Spring/Summer 2012)

As of now, the only swatches I have seen have come from Fashion Polish.  Check out Part I and Part II of this collection.
I love the combination of shimmer pastels and muted cremes, which seamlessly blend the biggest color trends from the  past few seasons.

China Glaze Hunger Games Collection (March 2012)

As of now, these names have not been officially confirmed, however the release of these polishes should coincide with the movie's release.  I have never read any of these books, but I think that these colors are generally really lovely and remind me of a softer version of the OPI Holland Collection.

Diamond Cosmetics Romance Inspired Fall Collection 2011

While not technically a 2012 collection, Diamond Cosmetics has created a really lush fall palette of colors that really segue well from fall to winter and winter into spring.  How creamy do that teal and purple look?

Prabal Gurung for Sally Hansen (Spring 2012)

Ahhh!  The collection that I'm most excited for!  As any loyal reader of my blog knows, I'm a Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure addict.  I think everything this company does is perfection in a bottle.  Once they started having designer collaborators, CSM rivaled any $20+ luxury brand in my book.  First Tracy Reese and then Prabal Gurung (my personal favorite!) and now Alexander Wang -- all for Spring 2012.

While I don't have promo shots, please watch the video above for the colors in the Prabal Gurung collection as well as more on his inspiration for the collection, Araki's "Sensual Flower."  Check of Traci Reese and Alexander Wang's videos as well for more trends this spring.

Can't wait to add Barely Bluebell, Loves-Me-Not, and Purple Posy to my collection!
