OPI Russian Navy (Challenge Day 8: A Polish that was Gifted to You)

Since I typically buy most of my polishes, this was a bit hard.  But I did remember that right before I went on a family trip to Bermuda in May I asked my boyfriend to get me a going away gift (silly excuse to get something).  I was hoping for a bracelet (which he did get me for my birthday the following month) but instead he gifted me OPI Russian Navy.  At the time I wasn't super enthused -- although very much appreciative -- and despite the spring month, wore the dark color in the hot temperatures...a big no-no in my book.  But now that it's getting cooler, I'm coming to appreciate the dark blue with a hint of electric blue undertone.  While I'm starting to grow to like OPI, this isn't necessarily their best endorsement.  Still, all and all, a fairly basic staple color for any nail enthusiast's collection.

Don't forget my 25 follower giveaway closes tonight at midnight, EST.  Good luck to everyone who entered and I look forward to having more giveaways in the future!

  1. I remember when this collection by OPI had come out, and I dismissed this shade out of hand. Fast forward a few years (& collections!) later, where I bought OPI's Russian Navy Suede....and now regret not having picked up the original, lol! I love how it shimmers in the last photo...so elegant!

  3. I've seen this OPI in most drugstores that sell this brand so I assume it's been adopted into their core collection. I'm sure that if you look on eBay or elsewhere online, you can get this for fairly cheap. It's an awesome color for fall and winter, in my opinion.
